Exit Ticket Overview

The Exit Ticket Overview provides a quick snapshot of submission, mastery, and reflection data for your classes and students. Export this data as a CSV file at any time to use in another tool, such as a gradebook.

Before you start, set your Targets. The Exit Ticket Overview uses them to highlight on-target submission and mastery, and to show the percentage on target for reflective scale-level questions. See Insights: My Targets.

Navigating Exit Ticket Overview

  1. Go to the Insights page.
  2. Select the date range you want to review.
  3. To focus on specific classes, click Filters and select them.
  4. Scroll to the Exit Ticket Overview section, or jump to it by selecting the file icon in the right-side menu.
    • First, you’ll see metrics by class. Click the drop-down arrow next to a class to expand it and view student-level metrics, too.

Exit Ticket Overview includes three types of columns: Submission, Mastery, and Reflective. Submission and Mastery each appear as a single column. Reflective columns only appear once you’ve set a target for a scale-level question, and you’ll see one column per reflective question with a target set.

Understanding Submission

The Submission column shows the percentage of exit tickets submitted out of all exit tickets for that class or student in the selected date range.

  • Note: percentages in green meet your submission target; percentages in black are off target.

Understanding Mastery

The Mastery column shows the percentage of mastery responses answered correctly for that class or student in the selected date range.

  • Note: percentages in green meet your mastery target; percentages in black are off target.

Understanding Reflective

Reflective columns depend on your Targets: you’ll only see a column for a scale-level reflective question if you’ve set a target for it. Each column shows the percentage of responses on target for that question.

Downloading the Data as a CSV File

To download Exit Ticket Overview data, click Export CSV in the top-right corner.

  • Note: only what’s visible on screen exports. Collapsed classes export as class-level rows only. Expand a class to include its student-level rows, and expand or collapse classes individually to control exactly what exports.
